Job summary

SURGE Staffing is hiring Machine Operators for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Bolingbrook, IL to support plastic IBC tote and steel cage production. You will assist with assembly, machine changeovers, and preparing products for shipment.

You must follow production procedures, maintain quality, and work safely to meet daily goals; prior manufacturing or machine operation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Stand for 8–12 hours per shift; lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble plastic IBC totes and steel cages according to procedures.
• Operate production equipment and assist with machine changeovers.
• Package finished products for internal use and shipments.
• Support daily production requirements and outbound shipping.
• Follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
• Meet production goals and complete tasks within timeframes.
• Monitor product quality and report defects or waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Notify leadership when leaving the production line.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:50 PM-11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Saturdays as needed

Job Summary

We are hiring Machine Operators to support production operations manufacturing plastic intermediate bulk container (IBC) totes and steel cages. Team members will assist with assembly, packaging, machine changeovers, and preparing finished products for shipment.

Successful candidates will follow established production procedures, maintain quality standards, and work safely to meet daily production goals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble plastic IBC totes and steel cages according to established production procedures.
• Operate production equipment and assist with machine changeovers as needed.
• Package finished products for internal use and customer shipments.
• Support daily production requirements and outbound shipping operations.
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
• Meet production goals and complete assigned tasks within required timeframes.
• Monitor product quality and report defects or production waste to the Production Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Notify the Production Lead or Supervisor when leaving the production line to maintain safety and quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with production team members to support daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, assembly, or production experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and established production procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per shift.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to perform assembly and production tasks.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work Saturdays when needed.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
• 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:50 PM-11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Overtime: Saturdays as needed
