Job description

Job Title: Assembly Operator

Responsibilities include:

1. Assembling mechanical units or fabricated parts to create sub-assemblies or complete products within routine and repetitive assembly operations.
2. Using various hand and power tools and operating equipment such as jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears, and drill presses to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form, and assemble parts.
3. Fitting, aligning, calibrating, and adjusting parts and mechanisms to meet specified tolerances and product requirements.
4. Monitoring the quality of products and raw materials.
5. Reading simple blueprints.
6. Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
7. Identifying and correcting minor machine malfunctions.

Qualifications:

• Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Works under broad supervision.
• Common job titles include: Press Operator, Machine Operator, Maker/Packer.

Additional information:

• Pay Range: $14.40 - $21.60 per hour.
