Summary: The industrial maintenance technician

will have a variety of daily responsibilities including maintenance on the CNC, Hydromat, Acme & Davenport machines as well as all support equipment. The technician will also perform light building maintenance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Maintain machines on a daily basis:
2. Ensure operators are filling out maintenance sheets
3. Repair/replace bearings, shafts, sleeves, timing, belts, motors, servos, etc
4. Maintain and service bar feeders
5. Troubleshoot job and machine related issues on all machines
6. Troubleshoot machine related issues on ancillary equipment
7. Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on machines
8. Create/update/manage setup sheets, job packets and programs
9. Additional maintenance duties as needed

Qualification Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must have at least 5 years of machine repair experience
• Must have strong mechanical skills
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to diagnose machine issues and be able to repair the problem
• Ideally know how to use the proper machining speeds and feeds
• Ideally have strong knowledge of cutting tools
• Preferable to have some electrical skills
• Ability to communicate information and work with machine operators
• Ability to distinguish between various material types (steel, stainless, brass or aluminum)
• Must be cooperative and a team player
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent work habits including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Sit, stand and walk on oily surfaces
• Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
