Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, NC is seeking a Machine Loader for 2nd shift. Starting wage is $20.20/hour with an 8% shift premium, plus a comprehensive benefits package and potential quarterly bonus.

You will load, position, and assist with fabrication processes while maintaining a clean work area in a production environment. Preferred candidates have experience with material handling, manufacturing, machining, welding exposure, and a willingness to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced plant

Qualifications

• Experience with overhead hoists and/or cranes is required.
• Ability to follow procedures and work with blueprints.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload and position heavy fabrication components in fixtures using lifting devices.
• Assist machinists or welders with processes as needed.

Position provides fabrications support activities including loading robots and/or machining centers as well as ensuring cleanliness of the area. As a Machine Loader at Caterpillar, you will:

• Load/unload and position heavy fabrication metal components in holding fixtures using lifting devices
• Assist Machinists or Welders with certain processes
• Maintain Fabrications area in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings and blueprints

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with Overhead Hoists OR Overhead Cranes

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operation
• Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Preferred Experience

• Material handling experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Machining experience or exposure
• Welding experience or exposure

Position Details

This is 2nd Shift hourly position with an entry wage of $20.20 hour (+ 8% shift premium for 2nd shift). Position is located in Sanford, NC. No relocation benefits are available.
