Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Sanford, NC is hiring a Machine Loader to support fabrication operations. The role involves loading/unloading heavy components, assisting machinists, and keeping the fabrication area clean and safe.

The position offers a starting wage of $20.20 per hour plus an 8% shift premium for 2nd shift, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for quarterly bonuses. You'll work Monday–Friday with defined procedures, routings, and blueprints to ensure quality and productivity

• Material handling and manufacturing experience are preferred.
• Machining or welding exposure is a plus.

Position provides fabrications support activities including loading robots and/or machining centers as well as ensuring cleanliness of the area.

As a Machine Loader at Caterpillar, you will:

• Load/unload and position heavy fabrication metal components in holding fixtures using lifting devices
• Assist Machinists or Welders with certain processes
• Maintain Fabrications area in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings and blueprints

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with Overhead Hoists OR Overhead Cranes

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operation
• Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Top candidates will also have:

• Material handling experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Machining experience or exposure
• Welding experience or exposure

Additional Information: with an entry wage of $20.20 hour (+ 8% shift premium for 2nd shift). Position is located in Sanford, NC. No relocation benefits are available.

Summary Pay Range:
