Job summary

The Caterpillar is hiring a Machine Loader in Sanford, NC. This 2nd shift hourly role supports fabrication, loading robots and machining centers, and maintaining a clean work area. Starting wage is $20.20 per hour with an 8% shift premium for 2nd shift.

You'll work Monday through Friday, follow documented procedures and blueprints, and assist machinists or welders as needed. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.

Qualifications

• Experience with overhead hoists or overhead cranes.
• Capability to operate in a fabrication/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow procedures and blueprints.

Position provides fabrications support activities including loading robots and/or machining centers as well as ensuring cleanliness of the area.

As a Machine Loader at Caterpillar, you will:

• Load/unload and position heavy fabrication metal components in holding fixtures using lifting devices


• Assist Machinists or Welders with certain processes


• Maintain Fabrications area in a clean and orderly condition


• Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings and blueprints

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience with Overhead Hoists OR Overhead Cranes

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods


• Willing and able to perform repetitive operation


• Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Top candidates will also have:

• Material handling experience


• Manufacturing experience


• Machining experience or exposure


• Welding experience or exposure
