JOB SUMMARY: The Machine Learning Ops Engineer will support the creation and implementation of processes and technologies to make the development, deployment, and operation of AI and Machine Learning systems more efficient, effective, and responsible.

Job Roles And Responsibilities
• Contributes to the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of ML Ops processes to enable the development and effective usage of AI and Machine Learning (ML) systems within Multiplan.
• Contributes to the design and development of reusable tools (python-based) and processes to support easy application of best practices in areas such as Responsible AI.
• Partner with data science developers to build and test AI/ML systems and deploy them to production.
• Support model monitoring activities to maintain the health of AI/ML systems in operation.
• Contribute to the operation and administration of our AI/ML development platform.
• Communicate and collaborate within the data science team and across other departments.
• Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Demonstrate Company’s Core Competencies and values held within.
• Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data — this role is considered to be a High Risk Role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, And Training)
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree, in computer science, mathematics, statistics or other quantitative field such as physics, operations research, etc. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years professional experience in data science with emphasis on engineering and production operations (1+ years with a Master’s degree)
• Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable
• High level of comfort with Python
• Working knowledge of foundational data science concepts such as probability, distributions, modeling algorithms, etc.
• Comfortable building data engineering pipelines and working with common data storage systems (relational databases, object storage, NoSQL, etc.)
• Experience with DevOps tools and concepts such as git and version control
• Be keen to work on a variety of projects and independently search for creative solutions with minimal supervision
• You communicate complex topics clearly and effectively and value diverse perspectives
• Experience deploying AI/ML models into production preferred.
• Familiarity with AI/ML operational technologies used internally (containers, Kubernetes, etc.) preferred.
• Comfortable with API design, construction, and testing preferred.
• Individual in this position must be able to work in a standard office environment which requires sitting and viewing monitor(s) for extended periods of time, operating standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, a keyboard, copier and telephone

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $120K to $140K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
