Staffmark Group is hiring a Machine Helper in Crystal Lake, IL to support Lamination operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves assisting the Lamination Machine Operator, preparing rolls, mixing adhesives, and performing viscosity checks to ensure product quality.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, be able to pass tests, lift up to 65 lbs, and bring at least two years of automotive or coating machine experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass pre-employment reading and ruler tests.
• Minimum of 2 years of complex automotive mechanical experience or coating/lamination/extrusion machine experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lamination Machine Operator with daily production activities.
• Install and align roll stock to ensure proper adhesive application.
• Mix adhesives according to production specifications.
• Perform viscosity checks every 30 minutes and record results.
• Monitor machine startups to ensure proper operation.
• Notify operator of equipment or production issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

This opportunity involves operating manufacturing equipment, monitoring product quality, and assisting in producing consistent results in a safe, fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lamination Machine Operator with daily production activities
• Install and align roll stock to ensure proper adhesive application
• Mix adhesives according to production specifications
• Perform viscosity checks every 30 minutes and accurately record results
• Remove completed rolls as directed by the operator
• Monitor machine startups to ensure proper operation
• Immediately notify the operator of equipment or production issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area through routine housekeeping
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass pre-employment reading and ruler tests
• Minimum of 2 years of complex automotive mechanical experience (engine or transmission work) or previous coating, lamination, or extrusion machine experience
• Ability to accurately read a ruler or tape measure to 1/16
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
• Ability to push, pull, and maneuver large material rolls using equipment
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Comfortable working around chemicals and occasional strong odors
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
