Machine Operator

Location: Hampshire, IL

Pay Rate: $19.78 per hour

Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Overview: Like working with your hands and keeping things moving? As a Machine Operator, you'll run the gear, keep the line alive, and take home steady pay with solid benefits.

Job Duties

• Perform advanced machine setups, tool changes, and machine adjustments
• Read, interpret, and edit CNC programs to maintain part quality and tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
• Troubleshoot machine and production issues to minimize downtime and scrap
• Train and mentor machine operators and entry‑level employees
• Operate equipment across multiple departments as needed
• Maintain quality standards and complete required documentation
• Assist with general production and assembly tasks as required

Requirements

• Strong CNC machining and machine setup experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T callouts, and technical drawings
• Experience editing G‑code at the machine
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Leadership or training experience preferred
• Dependable, detail‑oriented, and safety‑focused
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
