SURESTAFF is seeking a Machine Operator for a plastics manufacturing client in Pleasant Prairie, WI. The role involves tending thermoforming equipment, reading specifications, and ensuring quality during production. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd across early morning to overnight hours.

Eligible candidates will have production experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and flexibility for overtime. Competitive pay ranges ($17.13-18.93/hr) with health insurance benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing dies, stops, guides, and turntables.
• Safely operate thermoforming equipment to produce quality product.
• Read job specifications and previous run data to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Ensure job is in order prior to machine setup.
• Perform required quality testing on products produced (burst test, drop test, water table test).
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions and correct as needed.
• Position will require standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Machine Operators for a plastics manufacturing client in Pleasant Prairie, WI. The Machine Operator tends machine(s) that heats and injects pre-measured plastic pellets into molds that create simple parts to be inspected and packed as individual products or bulk packed for further assembly and case packed. Prepares paperwork for transfer to appropriate departments. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($17.13-18.93/hr.), depending on the shift chosen, as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include:

• 1st Shift - 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift - 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift - 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM (Sun-Thu)

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:

• Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing dies, stops, guides, and turntables.
• Safely and effectively operates thermoforming equipment to produce quality product.
• Reads job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Ensures job is in order prior to machine set-up.
• Performs required quality testing on products produced.
• Performs required quality testing on products produced, i.e. burst test, drop test, water table test, etc.
• Observes machine operation to detect piece defects or machine malfunction.
• Makes corrections to alleviate out of specification product.
• Position will entail standing for long periods of the day and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift.

Required Qualifications of the Machine Operator:

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembling, and/or machine operating.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is essential.
• Flexibility to work overtime and extra shifts as needed.
• Experience reading and interpreting production specifications a plus.
