Job summary

Surestaff, LLC is hiring a Bilingual Machine Operator for a food manufacturing client in McCook, IL. You will operate automated and semi-automated production equipment and report to the supervisor on shift times.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, adherence to GMPs, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 2nd shift runs 3pm-11pm, with competitive pay and health benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate all machines and be cross trained on all production rooms.

• Report absenteeism or tardiness to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized work area and comply with GMPs and safety rules.
• Reconcile components after each run and ensure proper storage.

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Bilingual Machine Operator for a food manufacturing client in McCook, IL. The Bilingual Machine Operator is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment.

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $17.00/hr. As well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include: 2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm

Responsibilities of the Bilingual Machine Operator:

• Able to be punctual and follow the production schedule and shift times as given by the supervisor
• Assure that crew reports to the line on schedule and ready to work
• Report any absentee or tardiness to the supervisor
• Able to follow all posted GMPs and safety recommendations in accordance to the production room
• Assure proper line clearance after every run to ensure success for the next run
• Able to operate all machines and be cross trained on all production rooms
• Able to lift up to 50lbs periodically
• Continuously monitor all quality, safety and quantity recommendation aspects of the operation
• Check to make sure all components and tasks of the manufacturing process are accurately following the associated Manufacturing Instructions
• Maintain a clean and sanitized area clear of any safety or quality hazards
• Proactively schedule additional tasks for employees in case of intermittent downtime
• At the end of each run, ensure that all components are properly reconciled in the system and physically put away
• Ensure that the tools are used in accordance to allergen rules and recommendations

Required Qualifications of the Bilingual Machine Operator:

• Able to complete LOTO (Lock-Out/Tag-Out) training prior to be trained on the production lines
• Able to operate all machinery and provide training to new employees when necessary
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English AND Spanish
• Able to demonstrate good leadership skills
