Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is hiring for a crew member in a corrugated packaging environment. You will assist with machine setup, monitor box quality, and ensure correct stacking for palletizing. You will follow instructions, support the operator to maximize output, and complete production and safety reports.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 45 pounds, and willingness to overtime in a manufacturing setting with varying temperatures and forklift traffic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Able to lift up to 45 pounds and handle standing/walking throughout shift.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience around machinery and forklift traffic is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine set-up in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Monitor box quality and communicate issues to operators and helpers.
• Ensure finished boxes are properly stacked for unitizing and palletizing.
• Follow factory card instructions and guidance from the operator.
• Help maximize equipment utilization by supporting the operator.
• Complete reports such as Production Data and Safety/Quality metrics.
