Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking team-oriented individuals for production roles in our manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include preparing areas, following instructions, operating packing machinery, and ensuring quality through effective communication with the crew.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED, can lift up to 45 pounds, and are willing to work overtime, including weekends. Prior experience in folding/gluing or machine crew is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and heavy forklift traffic.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Prepare area with equipment and materials per order requirements.
• Follow factory card instructions and operator directions.
• Assist locating masters as needed.
• Collaborate with crew members for maximum efficiency.
• Communicate quality issues to operator or assistant operator.
• Set up and operate bundling, squaring machines or case sealers.
• Catches and packs boxes and prepares master cartons.
• Move between machine centers as production needs dictate.
• Input load tag information into the system.
• Switch duties with crew members as required.
