Job summary

MultiCare Health System is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join a physician/APP office team. The MA-C functions under supervision of a licensed practitioner and provides safe clinical care within their scope of practice.

This role requires organized patient flow, patient interviewing and vital signs collection, supporting exams or treatments, specimen collection, and medication administration under DOH guidelines.

Qualifications

• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) required; minimum 1 year experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Ability to organize patient flow, interview patients and obtain vitals.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow with front office staff
• Interview patients
• Obtain vital signs
• Assist patients for exams or treatments
• Perform specimen collection including venipuncture
• Administer medications per Washington DOH regulations and secure competency
• Relay instructions to patients and families
• Send/receive patient records
• Facilitate patient referrals
• Prepare forms for patients
