Job summary

MultiCare Health System in Washington state is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support the Physician/APP office team under supervision of a licensed practitioner. The MA-C will perform safe clinical tasks and maintain patient flow, while coordinating with front office staff and caregivers.

Requirements include MA-C certification in Washington, at least one year of healthcare experience, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• MA-Certified in Washington state
• Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with front office staff
• Interviewing patients
• Obtaining vital signs
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
• Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State DOH regulations and documented competency
• Relaying instructions to patients and families/caregivers
• Sending and receiving patient medical records
• Facilitating patient referrals
• Preparing forms for patients
