Minnesota IT Services is seeking a M365 Technical Operations Lead in Vadnais Heights, MN. Qualifications

The MNIT DCT team provides essential IT support for a wide range of healthcare services, including mental health, substance abuse treatment, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the technology needs of DCT are met, enabling them to deliver high-quality care and treatment services to Minnesotans in need.

As the M365 Technical Operations Lead, you will provide senior-level technical leadership for Microsoft 365 (M365) solutions supporting Direct Care and Treatment (DCT). You will serve as a technical subject matter expert and lead the analysis, development, implementation, administration, and support of complex solutions across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, SharePoint, and related technologies.

In this role, you will provide technical direction and mentorship to the MNIT DCT M365 team, coordinate technical work and priorities, establish and promote development practices, and evaluate emerging technologies and capabilities. You will also serve as the technical owner for DCT’s M365 environment and collaborate with MNIT Enterprise, business partners, vendors, and other technical teams to ensure M365 services and solutions are secure, reliable, and effectively support business needs.

You will apply advanced technical expertise to resolve complex incidents and problems, develop customized solutions, support technology planning and implementation efforts, and provide technical leadership for projects and product teams. You will also research and evaluate new M365 technologies and recommend solutions that improve DCT's technology environment and services.

This position requires an employee to work onsite at 3200 Labore Road, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% [or more or less if space limitations remain] of the time, with limited telework available. Telework eligibility depends on residence:

• Candidates living in Minnesota or within 50 miles of the worksite in a bordering state (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) may telework up to 50%.
• Minnesota residents living more than 50 miles from the worksite may be eligible to telework more than 50%.
• Candidates living 50 miles or more from the worksite in a bordering state may work onsite 100% or may be telework eligible if relocating within 50 miles.

Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of IT related experience in Microsoft 365 application development, administration, and/or technical operations.

Experience must include:

• Advanced experience supporting and developing solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies, including Power Platform and Azure.
• Application development using software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
• Troubleshooting and resolution of complex application, platform, or integrated system issues, including root cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Technical leadership and subject matter expertise, including mentoring technical staff, reviewing technical work, and providing technical direction.
• Development and automation using technologies such as PowerShell, SQL, HTML/CSS, XML, or similar tools and languages.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
• Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences.

Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master’s degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor’s degree for one (1) year; and an associate’s degree for six (6) months.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced technical expertise administering, developing, and supporting Microsoft products such as SharePoint and/or Power Platform, including technical ownership or leadership of these solutions.
• Advanced technical expertise with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services, including integration, administration, development, and troubleshooting.
• Technical leadership in a complex IT environment, including establishing technical direction, mentoring technical staff, conducting code reviews, and promoting development standards and practices.
• Advanced development, scripting, and automation expertise supporting Microsoft 365 solutions and services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Administration and support of SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies.
• IT incident and change management practices, including coordinating complex issue resolution across multiple technical teams.
• Evaluation and implementation of new or emerging technologies, including proof-of-concept testing, technical recommendations, upgrades, and/or platform rollouts.
