- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Power Pages solutions, including authentication, authorization, Dataverse integration, web templates, Liquid, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Experience integrating Dynamics 365 / Power Platform with enterprise databases, APIs, third‑party systems, and cloud services.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.

This position serves our partners at the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE). MNIT OHE designs and supports large and complex database and reporting systems. The team leads the technical design of agency systems, business practices, and process automation.
The Dynamics 365/Power Platform Developer independently designs, develops, and supports secure, scalable Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions that enable critical agency business functions. The role provides senior‑level technical expertise across the full application lifecycle, with a strong focus on Power Pages and external‑facing applications.
This position builds advanced Power Platform components, modernize legacy systems, performs complex troubleshooting, manages data migrations, and ensures all applications meets enterprise architecture, security, accessibility, and performance standards. The developer collaborates with business and technical teams, exercises independent judgment, and contributes to the agency's modernization initiatives while staying current with emerging Microsoft technologies.
This position requires an employee to work onsite at 1450 Energy Park Drive, Saint Paul, Minnesota at least 50% [or more or less if space limitations remain] of the time, with limited telework available. Telework eligibility depends on residence:
- Candidates living in Minnesota or within 50 miles of the worksite in a bordering state (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) may telework up to 50%.
- Minnesota residents living more than 50 miles from the worksite may be eligible to telework more than 50%.
- Candidates living 50 miles or more from the worksite in a bordering state may work onsite 100% or may be telework eligible if relocating within 50 miles.

Position requires a minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience in designing, developing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
- Experience developing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM) solutions
- Experience designing, developing, and configuring Power Platform solutions (Mode-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Power Pages solutions, including authentication, authorization, Dataverse integration, web templates, Liquid, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Experience integrating Dynamics 365 / Power Platform with enterprise databases, APIs, third‑party systems, and cloud services.
- Experience performing systems analysis, application design, business process analysis, and evaluating multiple technical solution alternatives
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
- Customer‑focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem‑solving to deliver positive user experiences.
Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master’s degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor’s degree for one (1) year; and an associate’s degree for six (6) months.
- Experience developing custom plug‑ins, extensions, or advanced automation using Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET.
- Experience performing data migration, transformation, and validation from legacy systems into Dataverse.
- Experience optimizing application performance, conducting root‑cause analysis, and implementing long‑term stability improvements.
- Experience integrating Dynamics 365 and Power Platform with Azure services, enterprise databases, and third‑party APIs.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub for solution management, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and ALM practices.
- Experience designing secure system architectures, including authentication, authorization, and application security best practices.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, and analytics using Power BI to support operational and business insights.
