Job summary

System One is seeking an on-site M365 Project Manager in Washington DC to lead both operational and project work for the M365 team. You will combine Scrum Master facilitation with hands-on project management to ensure delivery of services across Microsoft 365 platforms and enterprise tools.

The role requires 5–7 years of IT project management or Scrum Master experience, strong Kanban governance, and proven ability to coordinate with IT and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies in a Kanban environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily stand‑up meetings and align team priorities.

Position Requirements:

Lead and manage both operational and project-based work for the M365 team using Kanban methodology. This role combines Scrum Master facilitation with hands‑on project management to ensure efficient delivery of services and initiatives across Microsoft 365 platforms and related enterprise tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Scrum Master/Agile Facilitation

• Facilitate daily stand‑up meetings and ensure team alignment on priorities
• Manage Kanban board, ensuring workflow optimization and WIP (Work in Progress) limits
• Remove impediments and blockers to team productivity
• Coach team members on Agile/Kanban best practices
• Facilitate retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives

Project Management

• Plan, execute, and deliver M365‑related projects on time and within scope
• Develop project schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with stakeholders across IT and business units
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer

Operational Management

• Oversee day‑to‑day operational work for M365 services
• Prioritize and triage incoming requests and incidents
• Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and operational metrics
• Coordinate maintenance windows and change management activities
• Support capacity planning and resource allocation

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in IT project management or Scrum Master roles
• Proven track record managing both operational and project work simultaneously
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies in a Kanban environment

Technical Knowledge

Core Technologies:

• Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Copilot)
• Email Security & Flow Management (e.g., Proofpoint)

Certifications Preferred:

• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification
• ITIL Foundation v4

Skills

• Strong understanding of Kanban methodology and metrics
• Excellent facilitation and servant leadership abilities
• Experience with project management tools (GitLab, Jira)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
