We are seeking an experienced M365 Migration Architect to lead the strategic planning, architectural design, and technical execution of our enterprise-scale cloud migration projects. In this role, you will act as the principal authority on moving legacy environments, on-premises infrastructure, and separate cloud tenants into a unified, secure Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You will balance hands-on technical execution with high-level stakeholder consulting to ensure zero downtime and absolute data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design: Define the target state M365 tenant architecture, identity models, mail routing topologies, and hybrid coexistence strategies.
• Discovery & Planning: Lead detailed discovery phases to assess source environment readiness, identify potential blockers, and estimate data volumes.
• Workload Migration: Design and oversee the migration of Exchange (On-Premises/Hosted to Online), SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams.
• Tenant-to-Tenant (T2T) Strategy: Build repeatable blueprints for Merger, Acquisition, and Divestiture (M&A) scenarios involving domain moves and cross-tenant data mapping.
• Security & Identity Governance: Configure Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), conditional access policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and secure score optimization.
• Tooling Validation: Evaluate, select, and deploy enterprise migration software (e.g., BitTitan MigrationWiz, Quest, AvePoint, or native Microsoft tools).
• Automation & Scripting: Develop robust PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks, bulk provisioning, and data validation reporting.
• Technical Leadership: Author master migration runbooks, lead steering committee updates, and mentor deployment engineers.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 8-10+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure with at least 4+ years dedicated explicitly to large-scale M365 migrations (10,000+ users preferred).
• Identity Expertise: Mastery of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), and federation services (ADFS).
• Messaging & Collaboration: Deep architectural understanding of Exchange hybrid configurations, public folder migrations, and complex SharePoint permission structures.
• Security Frameworks: Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and eDiscovery tools.
• Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or equivalent legacy certificates (MCSE).

Soft Skills & Core Competencies:

• Stakeholder Management: Ability to translate complex cloud architecture concepts into clear business risks and rewards for C-suite executives.
• Risk Mitigation: Proven track record of handling high-pressure throttling events, corrupted data sets, and unexpected migration failures under tight timelines.
• Documentation: Exceptional clarity in writing high-level designs (HLD), low-level designs (LLD), and end-user change management communications.
