Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an experienced M365 Platform Engineer to lead architecture, governance, and engineering of Purview and related M365 workloads in enterprise environments. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience architecting and engineering Microsoft 365 solutions, including Purview and supporting M365 workloads.
• Experience architecting, implementing, and governing Purview capabilities (Sensitivity Labels, DLP, Data Lifecycle, Information Protection, eDiscovery, Insider Risk, etc.).
• Experience developing governance, security, and compliance controls for Copilot and AI-enabled M365 services.
• Experience with incident resolution, scope determination, and structured root‑cause analysis.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Ability to work with high levels of autonomy, proactively refining ambiguous requests and driving end‑to‑end solutions.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Ability to lead engineering workstreams and platform-level initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, engineering, and operational governance of Purview and related M365 workloads.
• Contribute to architectural design and governance strategies focused on information protection, data governance, compliance, collaboration, productivity, and automation services.
• Support governance initiatives for Copilot, Copilot Studio, and agent-based experiences with security and responsible AI alignment.
• Drive resolution of complex incidents, perform deep-dive troubleshooting, and implement service improvements across the M365 ecosystem.
• Partner with engineering, support, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation, engineering standards, and repeatable implementation practices.
• Support strategic initiatives related to data governance, AI enablement, platform modernization, and cross-service integration.
