Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company is seeking an M/E Engineer 1, AFG, to join the Advanced Facilities Group. This role develops budgetary M/E estimates, evaluates options during preconstruction, coordinates bid scopes, and supports commissioning activities on large Industrial & Manufacturing projects paralleled with a safety‑driven culture.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in ME/EE/AE or related field and 0–2 years of construction experience or internships.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
0-2 years construction experience and/or summer internship/co‑op experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

Gains knowledge of the company safety and quality plans and culture.
Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated M/E estimating system.
Assists in review of mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction.
Learns to develop M/E scopes of work for bid coordination.
Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
Assists in sequencing requirements and constructability recommendations.
Learns shop drawing/submittal process to comply with contract documents.
Assists with commissioning including pre-functional checklists and functional testing.
