Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is hiring an M/E Engineer 2 for its Brownsville, TX location. The role involves completing routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities, collecting data, aiding in estimates, and supporting bid analyses to meet project goals.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in ME/EE or related field and at least two years of construction or engineering experience. Strong communication and teamwork are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field is required.
2+ years construction and/or engineering experience is required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
Assist in developing budgetary M/E estimates using program and schematic design information.
Review mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and contribute to system analyses.
Support bid analysis and subcontractor selection processes.
Assist with commissioning, shop drawing reviews and submittals.
