Job summary

Deloitte's M&A TS&D team is seeking a Product Architect Manager to drive technology diligence across acquisitions and carve-out scenarios. You will assess product technology risk, validate growth readiness, and help shape post-close integration priorities for clients and private equity sponsors.

You will translate complex technical findings into clear diligence outputs and collaborate with teams across commercial, financial, operational, cybersecurity, and data workstreams to deliver value.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in product architecture, software engineering, enterprise architecture, or platform engineering.
• 6+ years evaluating product architecture, cloud environments, APIs, data flows, and infrastructure dependencies.
• 6+ years designing or modernizing complex software products and digital platforms.
• 3+ years with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 3+ years synthesizing data, risks, and value-creation opportunities in assessments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; MBA acceptable.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize technology strategy by analyzing solutions and selecting relevant tools to meet client requirements.
• Evaluate software products, platforms, and ecosystems to identify strengths, risks, and value creation.
• Evaluate architecture quality, debt, engineering maturity, and scalability.
• Assist in architecture assessments for buy-side, sell-side, and carve-out due diligence.
• Assess scalability, resilience, maintainability, extensibility, security, and readiness across R&D and SDLC.
• Identify technical debt and risks affecting valuation or investment thesis.
• Review engineering maturity across SDLC, DevSecOps, release management, testing, and governance.
• Assess feasibility of the product roadmap and architecture to support growth and integration.
• Analyze third-party dependencies and vendor concentration for supportability and risk.
• Encompass understanding of microservices, APIs, event-driven, cloud-native, and SaaS patterns.
• Translate findings into diligence outputs with red flags, risk assessments, and value recommendations.
• Present findings to senior stakeholders in verbal, written, and analytical formats.
• Collaborate with broader diligence teams across functions.
• Support post-close planning by advising on integration and separation priorities.
• Develop work plans for engagement components and coordinate between work streams.
• Design deliverable content to reflect the engagement contract and client needs.
• Present findings to CTOs, CIOs, and executive sponsors.
• Be resourceful with subject matter areas arising during diligence.
