Job summary

PMCF, an affiliate of Plante Moran, seeks a detail-oriented student to contribute to analytical and data-driven components for M&A transactions. You will perform financial modeling, industry research, and assist in preparing selling documents with charts and visuals.

You will also help assemble due diligence materials, NDAs, engagements letters, and management presentations, gaining exposure to a professional services environment and a broad middle-market client base.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented student with problem solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Thorough financial statement analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with initiative and confidentiality.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities; driven to succeed.
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Preferred: Prior accounting or finance related internships.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or similar field) at an accredited college or university.
• Academic success (minimum GPA 3.0).
• Program designed for students returning to school after the internship; candidates finishing degree during internship encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical and data-driven components for the development of M&A transactions.
• Perform financial modeling including historical data entry, forecasting, and valid/credible assumptions.
• Conduct industry and company research and data analysis.
• Assist in preparing selling documents, charts, and visuals with financial data.
• Contribute to drafting information requests, due diligence lists, NDAs, proposals, and presentations.
