Job summary

Cooley LLP seeks an experienced M&A resource attorney in the United States. This role will manage the transaction database, draft and curate precedents, monitor regulatory updates, and coordinate educational content across the M&A practice.

Collaboration with KM, marketing, and associate teams is essential. The ideal candidate is a licensed attorney with at least 7 years in US M&A, combining drafting excellence with strong organizational and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with at least 7 years of US M&A transactional practice.

Responsibilities

• Transaction Database Management: input deal terms and coordinate with KM team.
• Drafting/Management: prepare or revise template documents and organize precedents.
• Legal Updates: monitor regulatory developments and prepare summaries.
• Legal Education: coordinate training content for associates and firm-wide programs.
• Marketing/BD: assist M&A marketing with pitches and content for blogs, PPTs, articles.
• Assist with attorney requests: provide precedents and resources as needed.
• New Initiatives: participate in resource management and practice innovation projects.
• Other duties: as assigned or required.
