Cooley LLP, a leading global law firm, seeks a resource attorney for its M&A practice in San Francisco. The role focuses on knowledge management, forms, and resources to support associates and partners in cross-border transactions, with emphasis on drafting, research, and practical know-how.

The position involves collaborating with the M&A marketing team on content for pitches and client materials, and contributing to new initiatives within the practice group.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with at least 4 years in US M&A corporate/transactional practice.
• Strong drafting and organizational skills are required.
• Willingness to handle multiple projects and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Transaction Database Management: input deal terms and coordinate with KM team.
• Form and Precedent Drafting: prepare or revise template documents; curate precedents.
• Legal Updates: monitor developments; prepare summaries and alerts; update resources.
• Legal Education: coordinate with education team for associate trainings and firm-wide efforts.
• Marketing/Business Development: assist with pitches, content for blog, and teach-ins.
• Assisting with individual attorney requests for precedents and templates.
• Contribute to new initiatives in resource/knowledge management and practice innovation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
