Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a highly motivated Associate for the North American Private Capital Advisory team. This role sits within M&A and focuses on advising clients on non-control capital partnerships, including minority stake sales and Joint Ventures, across a broad client universe and sectors.

You will lead structuring workstreams, model bespoke structures, and coordinate the deal process from outreach to signing, while collaborating with investors, lawyers, and accountants.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience in an investment banking front office role such as M&A or structured finance.
• Demonstrated experience designing and negotiating bespoke transaction structures.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and industry teams to analyze optimal transaction structures and financial models.
• Identify investor universe and engage with potential partners.
• Lead structuring workstreams on live mandates and potential transactions.
• Evaluate risk/return dynamics with structural variables and articulate trade-offs.
• Prepare transaction marketing materials and term sheets.
• Coordinate end-to-end transaction processes with internal teams and clients.
• Serve as day-to-day client contact and lead banker on deals.
• Mentor junior team members and discuss industry trends with clients.
