Job summary

Considine Search is recruiting for a Manager-Business Development (M&A) in New York. The role partners with M&A colleagues, BD, Communications and Events to generate business and raise firm and practitioner profiles.

It also covers Corporate Governance, Real Estate and Executive Compensation practice groups and various industry verticals. The role requires excellent judgment, strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple partner-facing projects in a high-performance

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• BA or equivalent required; JD, MBA or other graduate degree is a plus.
• Experience with business writing and presenting at the executive/partner level.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with global BD teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of pitches, responses to RFPs and marketing materials.
• Coordinate updating of marketing materials including practice and biography collateral.
• Oversee submissions to league tables and surveys; Chambers USA submissions.
• Conduct research on companies and industries; manage BD activity records.
• Guide and supervise junior BD team members and develop their skills.
• Develop business development plans with partners and execute initiatives to generate new business and client relationships.
• Track referral sources and support partner communications.
