Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plans of care as needed. Candidates with Lymphedema certification are preferred but not required.

The role offers a sign-on bonus and a standard M-F, 8-hour day schedule, with full-time hours and potential shift variations. This position emphasizes safe patient handling, education, and collaboration with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in IL or eligible for licensure.
• BLS certification within 30 days.
• Completion of required continuing education regarding acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe patient transfers with proper body mechanics.
• Educate patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Develop and adjust a plan of care with measurable outcomes.
• Evaluate clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Document in accordance with CTSCP67.
• Supervise PTA and rehab technicians when applicable.
• Communicate discharge plans and equipment needs to the care team.
