Job summary

The ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic in New York, NY seeks a licensed Veterinary Technician to join our CM team, supporting HQHVSN and preventive care across mobile and stationary clinics for underserved communities. You will administer injections and anesthetics, monitor vital signs, assist with surgeries, maintain patient records, and communicate clearly with clients.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS Veterinary Technician license or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Surgery/anesthesia experience preferred.
• Excellent animal handling and customer service skills.
• English required; bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for 35-40 cats and dogs per day in spay/neuter surgery.
• Administer injections and medications.
• Monitor vital signs and anesthesia-related care.
• Maintain medical records and logs.
• Provide client communication and education.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and CM staff.
• Adhere to OSHA and CM protocols.
