Job summary

You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, follow policies, maintain residents' rights, participate in care plans, and direct staff to provide safe, compassionate care with accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current licensed Practical Nurse (TX) license
• IV certification preferred
• BLS/CPR certification or equivalent mandatory

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities on the unit.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards and regulations.
• Direct unit operations and supervise nursing staff.
• Maintain residents' rights, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Complete incident reports and communicate with the Director of Nursing as needed.
• Assist in planning and implementing care plans and evaluating resident needs.
• Ensure supplies, equipment, and cleanliness of patient areas.
• Coordinate transportation and admissions/discharges as required.
• Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for residents.
