Dallas Medical Center, LLC in Farmers Branch, TX is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse for night shifts in our Telemetry department. You will measure vital signs, assist with ADLs, and monitor patients under RN supervision to ensure safe and effective care.

The role involves patient education on post-discharge care, medications, and chronic condition management, with full benefits and opportunities to grow within Prime Healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• Active LVN license in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• IV certification upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Turn, position, and ambulate patients to prevent bedsores and promote recovery.
• Monitor for adverse medication reactions and report to an RN or physician.
• Observe for changes in patient condition and communicate with the care team.
• Identify early warning signs of complications and escalate appropriately.
• Prepare patients for tests or procedures and ensure understanding.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, wound care, and medication schedules.

Hours: 12-hour shifts - 7:00pm to 7:00am

Location: Dallas Medical Center - Farmers Branch, TX

Responsibilities

• Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
• Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Assist with turning, positioning, and ambulating patients to prevent bedsores and promote recovery
• Observe patients for side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to an RN or physician
• Monitor patients for changes in condition (e.g., pain levels, skin color, or behavior)
• Recognize early warning signs of complications and report them to an RN or physician
• Prepare patients for tests or procedures by ensuring they understand the process and are physically ready
• Teach patients and families about basic post-discharge care, such as wound care, medication schedules, and managing chronic conditions
• Work under the supervision of RNs and report directly to them regarding patient care issues
