Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services is seeking a Medical Surgical LPN (LVN) for the Dallas Medical Center in Farmers Branch, TX. This full-time position supports patient care in the Med/Surg department with 12-hour days (6:45am–7:15pm). A sign-on bonus of 10,000 is available for qualified candidates.

Required qualifications include a valid LPN license, current BLS, and IV certification. Benefits and on-site support are provided as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN).
• BLS certification required on hire and kept current.
• IV certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs: blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Help turning, positioning, and ambulating to prevent bedsores.
• Observe for medication side effects and report to RN/physician.
• Monitor for changes in condition and report promptly.
• Identify early warning signs of complications and escalate to RN/physician.
• Prepare patients for tests or procedures and explain the process.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and medication schedules.
• Work under supervision of RNs and communicate patient-care concerns.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
• Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Assistwith turning, positioning, and ambulating patients to prevent bedsores and promote recovery
• Observe patients for side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to an RN or physician
• Monitor patients for changes in condition (e.g., pain levels, skin color, or behavior)
• Recognize early warning signs of complications and report them to an RN or physician
• Prepare patients for tests or procedures by ensuring they understand the process and are physically ready
• Teach patients and families about basic post-discharge care, such as wound care, medication schedules, and managing chronic conditions
• Work under the supervision of RNs and report directly to themregardingpatient care issues
