Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services' Dallas Medical Center in Farmers Branch, TX, is seeking a Telemetry LPN to join our nursing team. This full-time role offers night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am) and requires LVN/LPN licensure, BLS, and IV certification.

As a Telemetry LPN, you will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, support RNs, and help ensure safe patient care in a high-acuity unit. Full benefits and opportunities for professional growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• IV certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with turning, positioning, and ambulating patients to prevent bedsores and promote recovery.
• Observe patients for side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to an RN or physician.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and communicate with the care team.
• Recognize early warning signs of complications and report to RN or physician.
• Prepare patients for tests or procedures and ensure understanding.
• Educate patients and families about post-discharge care and medication schedules.

We are seeking aTelemetry LPN,sometimes referred to as aLicensed Vocational Nurse(LVN)or Licensed Practical Nurse.TheLicensed Practical Nurse(LPN)plays an importantroleour hospital by providing hands-on care to patients in the Telemetry department.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
• Help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Assistwith turning, positioning, and ambulating patients to prevent bedsores and promote recovery
• Observe patients for side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to an RN or physician
• Monitor patients for changes in condition (e.g., pain levels, skin color, or behavior)
• Recognize early warning signs of complications and report them to an RN or physician
• Prepare patients for tests or procedures by ensuring they understand the process and are physically ready
• Teach patients and families about basic post-discharge care, such as wound care, medication schedules, and managing chronic conditions
• Work under the supervision of RNs and report directly to themregardingpatient care issues
