Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC is seeking a licensed LVN/LPN to provide nursing care in a long-term care setting in Visalia, CA. The role requires PCC charting experience and current licensure in the practicing state, plus BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one.

Experience in nursing management is preferred but not mandatory; additional responsibilities include charting, incident reporting, narcotic controls, and coordination with physicians during rounds.

Qualifications

• Long term care experience required.

• Current LVN/LPN license in practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents changes in patient conditions including nutrition, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or other changes.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring in programs.
• Documents and notifies departments of patient room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies as well as state, federal and local guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• LONG TERM CARE EXPERIENCE
• POINT CLICK CARE CHARTING EXPERIENCE
• Current LVN/LPN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows company procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents any change in patient's conditions including but not limited to nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or any other noticeable changes.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
