Job summary

BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX seeks a day shift, full-time Breast Care Center Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support patient care services. You will assist the RN and physician, conduct health assessments, and collaborate with patients and the healthcare team to plan care.

Required: graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas LVN license, and BLS within 14 days of hire; preferred acute care experience and IV therapy certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current License as an LVN in the State of Texas
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurse and physician in determining the health status and health needs of patients based on interpretation of health-related data and preventative health practices, in collaboration with patients, their families, and other members of immediate healthcare team.

• BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs, and three private infusion rooms for families.
