Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day shift, full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the Breast Care Center in Amarillo, TX. You will collaborate with the RN and physician to assess patients, support preventative care, and ensure high-quality patient interactions in a specialized breast care setting.

The role requires Texan LVN licensure, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• IV Therapy course/certification preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Texas LVN license.

Responsibilities

• BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs, and three private infusion rooms for families.

Responsibilities

Assist Registered Nurse and physician in determining the health status and health needs of patients based on interpretation of health-related data and preventative health practices, in collaboration with patients, their families, and other members of immediate healthcare team.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current License as an LVN in the State of Texas
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous acute care experience
• Completion or proof of an IV Therapy course/certification
