Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services Community: Calder Woods in Beaumont, TX is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for full-time, onsite day shifts. You will implement unit goals, coordinate resident care, supervise staff, and provide direct nursing care to residents while upholding Buckner policies and state regulations.

Qualified candidates must have a nursing degree, hold TX LVN licensure, and have at least one year of related experience; English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing licensure.
• Previous experience in long term care preferred
• Minimum one-year related experience
• Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that individual health care plans are followed and treatments prescribed by physicians are administered or supervised.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Make meaningful rounds with residents and physicians, documenting visits accurately.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing; record vital signs.
• Assist in maintaining health care plans per schedule and document changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides, assign duties, and monitor performance to ensure quality care.
