Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing licensure.
• Previous experience in long term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies, procedures and requirements; follow federal/state laws and regulatory guidelines.
• Make rounds with residents, using health care plans; document visits on charts and coordinate with physicians.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing procedures; monitor vital signs.
• Maintain current health care plans and document acute episodes or changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides in duties; assign tasks and shifts as needed.
