The LVN will administer treatments, record vital signs, and supervise aides while ensuring compliance with state regulations and Buckner standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing licensure.
• Must complete and/or meet training, certification required by Buckner and the State of Texas.
• Previous experience in long term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies, procedures and requirements; comply with federal/state laws and agency guidelines.
• Make meaningful rounds of residents, utilizing care plans; record physician visits accurately and timely.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing procedures; take and record vital signs.
• Assist in maintaining current care plans according to a schedule and document significant changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides in their duties; assign aides to residents and manage break times and duties.
