Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services’ Calder Woods community in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct nursing care and supervise care staff as part of the nursing team.

You will implement resident care plans, administer prescribed treatments, and work a 12-hour day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on-site. Strong nursing licensure in Texas and long-term care experience are preferred to support our residents with compassionate, professional care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold and maintain current Texas nursing licensure.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Make meaningful rounds of all residents, and record visits on charts with physicians.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; perform in-house testing; record vital signs.
• Assist in maintaining health care plans and document changes in resident status.
• Supervise aides, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
