Job summary

CD Peacock Jewelers in Oak Brook, IL seeks a skilled Watchmaker to provide exceptional aftercare and maintenance for luxury timepieces. You will perform complete services, dial installations, and partial repairs while upholding the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous bench experience servicing luxury mechanical and quartz timepieces.
• Strong knowledge of luxury watch movements, products, and watchmaking procedures.
• Rolex Level 30 accreditation is strongly preferred.
• Experience servicing movements with complication modules is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision craftsmanship.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and fine manual dexterity.
• Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair luxury mechanical and quartz timepieces.
• Perform complete services, dial and hand fittings, and partial repairs on a wide variety of luxury watch movements.
• Perform all repairs using manufacturer-approved techniques, specialized tools, and industry best practices.
• Accurately allocate replacement parts to the appropriate repair order and order additional parts as needed.
• Ensure all completed repairs meet manufacturer specifications and internal quality standards before submission to Quality Control.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections on repaired and assembled watches to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and ensure all tools remain in excellent working condition.
• Meet productivity expectations while maintaining high standards for quality, turnaround time, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the sales team, Service Center staff, and other departments by providing technical expertise and repair recommendations.
• Communicate repair findings, timelines, and service recommendations clearly to team members and administrative staff.
• Assist in providing exceptional customer service by supporting accurate repair estimates and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and manufacturer certification programs.
