Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive technician experience in a franchised dealership.
• Strong inspection background across major systems, brakes, suspension, etc.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• California SMOG license preferred, not required.
• Comfort working across multiple makes and model years.
• Detail-oriented with inspection reports that influence market decisions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Quality-first mindset toward vehicle condition before sale.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive safety inspections on pre-owned vehicles.
• Document inspection findings and prepare reconditioning recommendations.
• Identify safety concerns and mechanical issues before sale clearance.
• Complete approved reconditioning repairs to meet standards.
• Perform road tests to verify inspection findings.
• Coordinate with used vehicle and service managers on priorities and timelines.
• Maintain repair order documentation for all work performed.
• Keep workstation clean, organized, and safe throughout shifts.
