Job summary

Decorative Materials in Denver seeks a Design Consultant to join our showroom team. This is a sales-driven role that blends relationship-building with expert product knowledge in luxury tile and stone.

You will develop client relationships, guide design choices, and drive project success from initial spec through installation. You will grow a strong network with designers and builders, meet sales targets, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service on high-end projects.

Qualifications

• Proven success in luxury, consultative or relationship-driven sales.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to develop new business.
• An appreciation for design, architecture and beautiful materials, with a strong eye for detail.
• Polished, professional communication skills and the ability to connect with a wide range of clients.
• College degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a strong book of business with designers, architects, and builders.
• Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals through existing account growth and new business development.
• Proactively identify new clients, projects and opportunities within the market.
• Work closely with clients to develop thoughtful material selections and specifications that support their overall design vision.
• Own projects from initial selection through quoting, ordering, delivery and installation.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline with consistent follow-up throughout long and complex project timelines.
• Become a trusted product resource, confidently advising clients on design, technical and installation considerations.
• Build Decorative Materials’ presence within Denver’s design community through client meetings, industry events, presentations, and ongoing relationship development.
• Collaborate closely with our internal teams to deliver the level of service our clients expect from Decorative Materials.
