Job summary

Galanter & Jones is seeking a Showroom Manager for the Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto. You will oversee all showroom activities, lead a small team, and drive revenue through expert clienteling and product demonstrations.

You will build relationships with clients over time, manage daily operations, and coordinate with the sales team to close complex orders while maintaining premium merchandising and a top-tier guest experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in high-end retail, luxury sales, or a design showroom.
• Long consideration cycle with successful client relationships.
• Excellent follow-up and written communication.
• Strong written communication—clienteling via email.
• Experience with Shopify POS, HubSpot or similar CRM, and iPads.
• Available evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Interest in design, materials, and how products are made.

Responsibilities

• Own the guest experience from arrival to close, guiding the product story.
• Build and manage a client pipeline, draft quotes, and follow up persistently.
• Partner with sales lead on complex orders and coordinate delivery details.
• Run the floor: opening/closing, merchandising, inventory presentation.
• Lead and coach 1–2 part-time associates; set guest service tone.
• Submit monthly sales reporting and maintain order tagging.
