Job summary

Prime Independent Living in Knoxville is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to oversee dining operations, maintain exceptional cleanliness and sanitation, expedite service, and elevate the resident dining experience. You’ll support the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure quality, presentation, and hospitality across meals.

Lead by example, train and mentor staff, manage scheduling, and collaborate with other departments to create memorable dining moments for residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in culinary leadership or dining room supervision.
• Strong hospitality and communication skills.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Ability to train and mentor staff.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen operations to ensure exceptional quality, consistency, and service.
• Lead food preparation and execution across meal periods while maintaining high standards for taste and presentation.
• Assist the Executive Chef / Culinary Director with menu execution, daily features, and seasonal offerings.
• Help ensure smooth, efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment.
• Lead by example and help create a kitchen culture rooted in teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and hospitality.
• Train, mentor, and support culinary team members in daily operations and best practices.
• Provide hands-on leadership during meal preparation and service.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing to support operational needs.
