Job summary

The RealReal in Glendale, CA is seeking an Assistant Manager, Stores to partner with the Store Manager to drive exceptional customer service, optimize operations, and build high‑performing teams.

You will lead a team of Customer Experience Specialists, focus on clientelling and brand loyalty, and flex between roles to help meet weekly goals while maintaining a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in store management, preferably in the luxury or fashion industry.
• Experience working with a commissioned sales or retail organization and/or operationally intensive business.
• Comfortability with performing routine employee touch-bases and performance reviews to support training & development.
• Confidence and ability to strategically manage a sales floor ( i.e. scheduling, zoning, coaching etc.).
• Strong customer service orientation, clienteling abilities, floor management and sales skills.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build multiple cross functional team relationships.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business which may include holidays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Achieve supply and demand goals by creating an environment of exceptional client experience leveraging superior service, clienteling, and partnership with Valuation Managers.
• Manage day‑to‑day support for Customer Experience Specialists.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
• Train and develop Customer Experience Specialists on product knowledge, sales techniques, consignor education, and customer service skills.
• Actively commit to maintaining a diverse team and creating an inclusive environment by prioritizing The RealReal’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training.
• Lead by example on the sales floor.
• Build brand loyalty by delivering a best in class customer experience.
• Lead the store team when Store Manager is not on siteFlex between all roles in the store as needed.
