Job summary

Hermès Madison Flagship Boutique seeks an Asset Protection Specialist to safeguard merchandise, people and premises in a fast-paced luxury retail environment in New York. Responsibilities include enforcing policy, conducting audits, managing guards, reporting incidents, and ensuring secure access for staff and visitors.

The role requires 1-3 years in asset protection or retail, a high school diploma (security license in NYC preferred), and strong communication, problem-solving and adaptability.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years Asset Protection / Retail Experience preferred
• 8 hr Pre Assignment and 16 hr OTJ certificates / Security License (mandatory in NYC only)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving and Decision-making skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle merchandise

Responsibilities

• Post coverage – stock security
• Associate compliance and education (AP Awareness)
• Violation and Incident reporting
• Conducting audits and maintaining proper records
• Managing outsourced guards
• Assessing Associate compliance with Policy and Procedures
• Routine facility inspections for physical security
• Complete audits and inspections with documentation
• Safety inspections and hazard reporting
• Control access of associates and visitors
• Monthly touch base with APM and APA’s
• Monthly maintenance of AP documents
• Report theft to APM and liaise with law enforcement
• Review cegid reports with APM
• Supervise off-site sales (Public and Employee)
• Partner with floor management in the absence of APM
• Key audits and management
• Review of safe logs
