InterContinental Washington DC – The Wharf invites applications for a Restaurant Host. Deliver warm welcomes, informed recommendations and seamless service from start to finish at our waterfront hotel on The Wharf in DC.

You will contribute to memorable guest experiences through professional communication, station upkeep, and teamwork, with a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform bending/kneeling.
• Good reading, writing and basic maths.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Excellent communication; warm, welcoming and approachable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and deliver memorable dining experiences.
• Own your station; keep it stocked, clean and safe.
• Help with clearing tables and other duties as needed.
• Minimise waste and keep supervisor informed of safety issues.
• Take on ad-hoc duties to keep service running smoothly.
