CoolWorks.com — Jobs in Great Places is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee daily operations of the Housekeeping department in a luxury resort setting. You will lead and mentor the housekeeping team, ensuring exceptional room cleanliness and public area upkeep to meet top-tier standards.

Collaborate with the Director of Housekeeping, conduct inspections, manage scheduling and training, and drive cost controls and safety programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two plus years’ experience in housekeeping within a luxury resort.
• Must have Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Opera preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English and Spanish.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to supervise subordinate staff and manage disciplinary actions.
• Ability to prepare and analyze data and reports.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and service standards.
• Manage housekeeping team including mentoring, coaching, and training.
• Build and lead an exceptional housekeeping team under the Director of Housekeeping.
• Work with Workday and recruiting systems.
• Conduct regular hotel inspections for cleanliness and maintenance compliance.
• Hire, train, supervise and develop colleagues for maximum effectiveness.
• Ensure safe working conditions through appropriate training.
